Warming his rich, chestnut coat in the violet light of dawn, a hunter stands peacefully at the edge of a thicket.. His soft brown eyes gaze out at the pasture where he was born. The fence that once contained his romps as a foal has long since given way to vines and honeysuckle. While he could easily jump the growth now weighted down with new-fallen snow, he stands content... for this is home.
Hunters are prized for their superior jumping ability and speed in competition. They are a frequent and much-loved sight around Richard Bollinger's Chester County, Pennsylvania.
